This year, Hawkins Transport LTD celebrates its 15th anniversary, and when we look back, it’s hard to believe how much we’ve grown. Starting as a small delivery business, we’ve now expanded into a full-service transportation company that offers a wide range of services including security distribution, storage, healthcare, parts and replacements, multi-drop distribution, food, machinery, motor vehicles, and air transport.
Our founder, Neil Hawkins, built this business from the ground up, and his unwavering commitment to excellence has been the driving force behind our success. When Neil says he’ll get the job done, you can trust that it will be done quickly and proficiently. His dedication to excellent communication and meticulous attention to detail are what sets Hawkins Transport apart.
At 18 years old Neil became an entrepreneur founding his own multi-drop bakery delivery business. He sourced bread and cakes from a village bakery and distributed them to neighbouring towns and villages in his blue Bedford Rascal van. From that he expanded and moved onto a mobile catering business that supplied catering vehicles to all major events in the UK. He developed his skills in managing staff, training, risk assessments, food hygiene and stock. In just 6 months, he transformed a non-profit business into a profitable one as its transport manager. He utilized his expertise in managing staff, training them, overseeing the flow of stocks in and out of warehouses, building good relationships with clients, and securing major contracts for services like pick and pack, same-day couriers, storage solutions, and high-level government security checks. After the director decided to pack up Hawkins Transport LTD was born in 2008.
Over the past 15 years, we’ve faced our fair share of challenges, but we’ve always come out stronger on the other side. We’ve weathered economic downturns, navigated changes in the industry, and adapted to new technologies and regulations. Through it all, we’ve remained focused on our core values of reliability, efficiency, and outstanding customer service.
One of the keys to our success has been our ability to stay nimble and adapt to the changing needs of our clients. We’ve expanded our services to include everything from storage solutions to pick and pack, and we’re always looking for new ways to innovate and improve. And we’ve done it all while maintaining the same high standards of quality and professionalism that our clients have come to expect from us.
